Baghmundi is a block town in the lap of Ayodhya hills of Purulia district, West Bengal, India. It is located at 65 Km towards south-west of district head quarter, Purulia. Baghmundi Govt. Polytechnic is emerging near Purulia Pumped Storage Project (PPSP), a unique concept for generation of Hydro electricity during peak electric power demand hours and pumping up back the same water during lean demand hours.
